Yes I adopted a guineapig..unfortunatly I had to return her for she was aggressive and like to bite when I tried to clean her cage and for me I could not handle that. I then bought a budgie. I still have the budgie.

yes I adopted a kitten once when I went to the shelter looking for a lost kitten that had disappeared. Unfortunately my lost one wasn't there but I ended up adopting another one. I had him for 6 years before losing him to cancer.

I have adopted a few gunia pigs. But that is about it. I have rescued my female mini pin.Who I still have. I have also a few more dogs. But have adopted those out to good homes. I have rescued the cat I have. I took it in when it was knocking on deaths door....Gave him some love word and meds. Now you can't tell it is the same cat.

Yes, we adopted a kitten in January of this year and about 6 years ago my husband had adopted another kitten from the same place. We still have both cats.

my mom never would let us have a dog so as soon as i moved out i went to the shelter and got a puppy. we've gotten one or two more from our shelter also...but we don't have any of them. we moved around a lot till we found jobs that we liked and at one point lived in a small apartment. i didn't think it was fair to the dogs so they were given to loving homes. If we get another dog i'll probably go back to the shelter again. i hate to think of the animals there getting put down.

Me and my husband adopted a shitsu from the animal shelter and his name is bucky we got lucky he was potty trained and we still have him he is a good dog and we like doing things like that to help save animals.

yes-i had a couple who were dumped by seasonal renters in my neighborhood.they showed up at my door and animal control took them to the shelter to attempt to find the owners.i had an adoption hold put on them-meaning if no owner came forward,i would claim them. they were never claimed,but they lived a long and happy life with me.i went and got them when hold time was up :)

Yes, we adopted a part beagle part chow dog. I call him a chowgle. He was the only dog that was not barking, and my husband said that's the one we want! When we got him home, he was the most well behaved dog we had ever had. I can leave him alone, he won't bark, I can leave food on the table...he won't get it. He doesn't rip open garbage bags or get destructive if he doesn't get his way. We were very fortunate. I just wish I knew why the old owner couldn't keep him...he is such a sweet dog!
