On a trip in Alberta, Canada we took this picture of Hoodoos. I had never seen them before. (According to Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Hoodoos are tall thin spires of rock that protrude from the bottom of arid basins and badlands. They are composed of soft sedimentary rock, and are topped by a piece of harder, less easily-eroded stone that protects the column from the elements.) Has you can imagine I was certain that these were a man made creation but I was proven wrong! Have you ever seen them?
