Presently i'm an English teacher in China. I teach kindergarten and in the evening i teach primary school children,i use flash cards, real materials to teach the kindergarten and the period per each lesson is 40mins, the first 15mins i'm able to get their attention and afterwards even if i try to play games with them, i'm not successful because the chinese teacher will not help. i can't also shout at them. i can only persuad them and that makes things worse because one: they don't understand me, two they don't even sit to listen but run about. when i try to teach them action language they do their own things. The evening class, here time given is 1.50hrs. they too after 20mins they just wouldn't listen but run about until the chinese counterpart comes to quiet them. I want all to share their oponions as how to control them and the more effective way to execute the lessons. it's on spoken English.

Wow. That is such an interesting situation you find yourself in. I've been hearing more stories about people moving to China to teach English. How did you go about getting that job? And are you fluent in Chineese? Lloyd

well it was by luck that i got that job though i'm not fluent in chinese it has not been much problem for the children to understand me. when they don't understand me the class teacher explains to them. they really like me though they become uncompromising.
