Good Afternoon:
I'm looking for anyone knowledgeable about employment law. Here is the situation:
My son is 25 years old and works for my brother in the trash business. My brother refuses to pay them by check or take out taxes on his employees. He follows no standard work ethics at all. he also has his 2 sons working for him. They are also mistreated, verbally. My Brother didn't pay taxes on his business for years, more recently, he has made some attempt at making it appear he pays some taxes, but as i stated before, he refuses to pay employee tax. They have never gotten a W2. When my son trys to complain, he is verbally abused, and made to do extra work. My brother knows enough about the law to not fire my son, but working for him is pure hell! Does he have any recourse?

Well, my first response would be to quit and find a job with a company that conducts their business better than that.
If he doesn't want to do that, I would contact the local department of labor office.
