If you could remodel/decorate any room, which would it be?

this is one of my passions ...I love remodeling ...I have redone my whole house ..well a few things left to do ...tile the entry way and my kitchen ...just might even do the bathrooms too ... I have just got done rdoing my daughters bedroom ...the walls were a bright orange her favotite colr and the florroing was a dark hunter green color ..so I repainted took out the carpets and put down laminate flooring in a deep cherry color and then added the shoe molding around all the baseboards and painted all the trim work and doors... let me know what you all think?? I also just started my own handypersons services...this is the logo I came up with ." The Honey Do List Eliminators" ...lol hopefully it will catch peoples attention ...so if i was to redo a room in my house i would start in the kitchen ...and redo eveything as I have done ...thats the best value for anyone wanting toresell their home ...next would be the master bedroom ... that is the next best bag for your buck for resell value... love this discussion i am geeting way off the subject ..thanks for letting me bragg alittle and show off my work ...:)

You sound like me .. I spend most of my day in the my bedroom, I love working from my bed, something I always dreamed about when I used to work in an office environment. But I often think I would like to change my bedroom, make it romantic and peaceful and the ability to get dark and cool in the evenings, and pillows are must, but I know my boyfriend will hate them, but they are supposed to right?

My whole house...can I count it as one room?

I want to do the whole house but since I can't I'm torn between the kitchen and dining room (they are all one room) or the family room. I think I'd go with the kitchen and dining room though. It needs it the most. I'd get all new cupboards and a better layout put in for it. Right now we have wood grained cupbards but they are green, the house was built in the 70's. I'd get the opening between the kitchen and the family room closed off since it's not really needed. All new flooring put in, probably one that looks like hardwood if not hardwood. New dining room table and chairs. Not to mention new doors on the pantry so that it's easier to see and get in instead of the ones on there which are the slide in front of the other, I hate that style. I'd also get an over the oven microwave put in. Ok I really want to do this and I can't :( although I am working on it currently it won't be anything close to what I'd love to do. Oh well nice to dream.

oh, this one's easy. It would be my kitchen hands down! I would love to have more counter space so I could actually cook the way I like to. A big double stove, and room for all my counter top appliances, oh, and better lighting.

Lol ...tons of pillows sounds you are very much lover of sleeping ( dont know how many hours). Bed room i prefer should have decent calm pleasant wall colour and appealing bed covers with dim light. It should have book shelves.Good opening for moonlight and daytime sunshine. Thats enough for me....ahhhh

Same here. I'll too like to redecorate my bedroom. I'll like to paint it red now instead of parrot green {its my favourite colour" but as i've become young now, so, i must change my colours collection now. Lolz. 2ndly, a big comfy chair & a study table. I'll put my course books in the draw of my that table instead of cupboards where i put them now. I think that these r the only changes which i wanna see in my bed room.

yeah, me too! i would like to remodel my room. i would remodel it the way like it to be. i would paint the wall with murals made by me. i would hang photos that i took and i would add a few book shelves and throw away some stuffs. cheers!

At this point everything in my home is in serious need of remodeling , but I really can't do any of it right now. If I could do at least one room, I would do my kitchen. It is really in need and it's getting worse each day. I need new cupboards and more storing space. I also need new drywall and floor. I already have the whole thing in my mind, and hope that soon I can do it.

my bedroom has been the best place i decorated so far. i always to decorate my study room. its been always messy. i decorated and again its gets back to bad shape in few days.

For me, it would be my Home/Office. Its a bit cluttered now. It could do with another 24 - 36 square feet and way more book shelves. I would also like to add a small fridge, mini bar, a larger LCD TV screen and a big comfy recliner chair, especially one that vibrates and massages. After all I spend about 10 hours there most days.

definitly my bedroom its soo plain and has all mismatched furniture... I want to paint it and slowly replace all furniture so I have a suite

I'd like to decorate my bed room with pink color wall , and I also want a bid soft chair in my bed room , but I won't have a bed in my room . Only when I want to go to sleep , I will spread my quilt on the floor . Then I want put a red camp in my room . That is all I want to decorate now .

Honestly I would remodel my whole house because all of it needs improvement and just recently I have started to make changes and to try and make it more of a home instead of just a place to eat and sleep. So now we tend to spend alot more time in the house and we actually enjoy being there.

My living room. It is the only one we have not tackled. It has paneling and I would love painted walls to brighten the room up.

I would redo my kitchen - make it more open - now it seems to cramped up. I want to open it up to the breakfast nook - where my patio is - direct access to the grill!!!

I would redecorate my bedroom. Make it more relaxing and restful. New mattress, new color on the walls and floor and just redo it all to relax me. Maybe then I could get a decent nights sleep.

it has to be the kitchen. i love cooking and i've always wanted a big kitchen. my current kitchen is so small 10x15 ft. i can't stock up food or other kitchen appliances. i want it to have a lone counter where i can have a display of my cooked food, a section of baking area and a drink station so i can get creative mixing all the drinks! the dining table has to be able to accomodate 10 people at least. the theme, clean look.

I would love to redecorate my bedroom. I would give it a fresh coat of paint and buy some new bedroom furniture. I've already bought myself a new comforter set which I got for my birthday just to spruce it up a little. I feel like it's my space and I deserve to have a nice room to go to at night.

if i have too remodel my bedroom i will throw my old bed with new much pillowy bed with lot of cusines on it.I will change my audio system with room theatre all around and move my plasma out in the living room.there is no need of tv in the bedroom.
