I was literally shocked when I read today in a news paper feautre that Indian women are now being asked by their Human Resource Managers to include menstral history in their perfomance appraisal! Is this a relevant aspect of guaging performance at places of work? Is this not discriminatory to women?

OMG I can't believe that one. I really hope that isn't being done. If it is then it's an invasion of privacy. There is no reason a work would need to know about that. The only reason they would is if for some reason it would interfer with their job performance. For example if they suffer from migraines at that time of the month and need to call off work because of it. They might need to know when so they can schedule her off at that time. It should not be relevent to guaging their performance. It shouldn't be an issue at all in the work force.
