My baby is sucking the life out of me. I tried giving him the bottle but he just throws it away. I tried the sippy cup, straw and making him drink straight from the cup. he still prefers my milk. Help!

How old is your baby? Does he eat soup? if so, try to give him by a spon. Or, if he already eat yogurt, just give him the yogurt, it has the same effect as the milk. Goodluck

He's 15 months old now. He never liked formula and has been eating solids since 6 months. He eats well during the day, eating whatever I eat. At night, he would still wake up 2-3 times just to suck. I want him to drink milk from a bottle or sippy cup so that I would be able to do other things for a couple of hours.

You just have to be persistent and say no. Try yogurt to make sure he gets his calcium and some other thigns but do not give in. Good Luck!

You dont say how old your baby is. Switching him to drinking milk another way is basically down to persistence. As he is used to this way he will prefer it to start with. As for weaning, pureed vegetables, baby rice, pureed fruit are all good things to start with. Here the advice is to try and keep off weaning till baby is around 6 months old though some start way earlier.
