Living Headless Cockroach eeewwwww

Ok here is another useless, interesting, or informative bit of information and I must say this one creeped me out!!!
Did you know that a cockroach will live for 9 days WITHOUT its head before it finally starves to death!Eeeeewwwwwww, not for the faint hearted I would say and I class this one as errrr.....disgusting(ok a bit interesting)lol
Have you heard or seen? (I wouldnt know where lol) this before?
Oh and please dont try this at home, the thought of it is creepy enough;).

Thats nothing...George W. Bush has been running around for years without a brain....LOL, sorry couldn't resist.
That really is gross though. I've heard the same type of thing with chickens. After they get their heads cut off they'll runh around for a bit before dying...yuck.

Yes, I knew that and it's one of the reasons I'm sooo grossed out by them! Did you know that they are asexual, meaning they can reproduce alone??? That means 1 can become 100 in a matter of time!

Yes i heard that they only need to mate once to carry on laying eggs! Weird isnt it lol

well, this is really a good information to get. thanks sweetpeas. i never had any idea before about how long a cockroach will go on living even with it's head off. it's really amazing. thinking that they can last for 9 days without having it's head on. i thought it will just die without it... well, most creatures will die seconds after.

YES! Recently my husband shared this tid bit of information with me, I wish he hadn't! I dont know how they walk around like that, yuk! So discusting!
