Why is it ok for a Mexican to work in the US but not claim residency... why is it ok for Nigerians to go to school here in America... Pay a women or Man money to get married to claim residency.... The government know's its happening but does nothing about it.. I am a victim I fell in love with a Nigerian Man who promised me the world. Although he was very Americanized up to date with our culture, he gave me a reassurance he was not looking to get married. then I found out he was talking to 4 other girls in different states... asking them for money... and he even asked me to get married... when will it stop.... i'm a victim and I know there are more out there with my same story pls share...

I'm sorry this has happened to you. This had never happened to me but your post caught my eye as the immigration situation is very prominent in the news these days. Unfortunately it shows lack of trust if you ask someone you are involved with who happens to be from another country to prove they are here legally. There is no diplomatic way to ask that question without them getting on the defensive. It is not fair that people such as your friend to deceive people that way. Until the government gets its act together, there will be victims such as yourself, unfortunately.

Very true... and we still talk today...Im not very sure he was with me just to get married because he acted as though marriage was not on his to do list but when I found out from different women what he was trying to do to them i figured he was trying to do the same to me... its really not fair... and alot of it is going around... thanks for your comment

oh yes. This is deep. I think we are all victims of the whole imigration ordeal. Most imigrants have luxuries in america while other citizens suffer. It doesn't have anything to do with race but it has much to do with having a legal status in america. It's really sad
