My good knee, the right one has been having extra amounts of pain over the past few weeks. It hurts to touch it, ice feels good, it hurts to bend it, to walk down stairs, sometimes just to walk, to kneel, etc. I am wondering am I having knee arthritis? I am not skinny which I know is a factor. I know my left knee, injured when I was 19, gets arthritis slightly sometimes. But my right one takes all the pressure. A recent ankle injury, also left leg again forced stuff on my right leg. I was wondering if this sounds like knee arthritis? I tried wrapping the knee, taking some med's from home, and icing it. I dont have medical lost it at 24 and now at 27 THIS. So please your thoughts as I dont know what to do IF it is this. It has been like this as long as 3 weeks at least since I got my job. Possibly longer! Thanx everyone!!!!! :))

If it's arthritis it will probably feel better once you walk of move it around. They say that ASA or Advil is good for inflamation. My husband uses tylenol for arthtitis and he says it works.

FRom what you discibed it sounds like arthritis. I to suffer from it mostly in my right knee but it is now in my left also. My right knee is due to an accident along time ago. I feel abit of relief as I loose weight but I have learned to ice/heat when needed and in the winter I wear a neoprean knee brace to keep the heat in. Cold is a bear to deal with as you know. Talk to your doctor and see what he recommends. Hope that you find some relief soon. lightingMD's hubby

I have had trouble with my knees, too. Your symptoms are much like mine. One thing, though, do you also have swelling around the knee? Your problems could be torn cartilage. The only way to tell is to go see a doctor. If he thinks that is what it is possibly they can do an MRI of your knee. That will tell the tale. The surgery for this these days is quite good and very non invasive though the recovery time is still excessive and you will have to do physical therapy. Good luck!
