What would you give a 70-year old man for his birthday?

My dad is turning 70 on the 21st. He is health conscious and I've given him several books on that topic. He's a very simple, down-to-earth man who doesn't like lavish presents. He prefers practical things but pretty much has everything that he needs. Any suggestions?

You don't say what other interests he has or how is health is. Perhaps he would enjoy a massage, or a membership in a health club. How about some hand-made certificates for you joining him for some walks, or giving him some foot massages. Something personal that only you could do for him or show him you are glad he has taken care of himself and stayed around for you!
