asians like to have dipping sauces. be it the thais, malaysians, laotians, chinese, etc.! i like patis or fish sauce with a lot of dehydrated chili that has been ground thoughly. i like it on mango, singkamas or turnips, fish, steamed shrimps, meats, and almost anything. my husband on the otherhand likes vinegar + soy sauce + loads of chili. how about you fellows?

it depends.. if its "prito" i just like to dip it in ketchup.. however, "kinilaw" and "barbeQ" would need vinegar with a lot of crushed chili.. with "mangga," pure vinegar does the job .. i like to experiment with different kinds of "sawsawan"..

I absolutely love Thai gfood and I think the reason is their sauces and dips, they are beautiful, when I go to dinner at a Thai Restaurant I like to start off with Pappadoms with the Peanut dipping sauce then for an entre I like their Fish Cakes and this comes with a beautiful dipping sauce and I am not sure what it is, maybe cucumber in it bit not sure...oh their sauces are the best...

I like soy sauce with kalamansi, fried garlic and siling labuyo (small red chili). I love dipping fish, shrimp, pork chops, or steak in it. It is so delicious that I'm missing it. Because I'm not in Philippines plus we don't have kalamansi here in New York only lemon or lime. But its still not the same.
