I think possible the idea of hijacking our senses to not being able to tell if the world we perceive is real or virtual, not with our current technology but just looking at the last games that are coming out we can see that the quality and realism of virtual worlds is unbelievable now, if we were plugged directly onto it I'm not sure of being able to tell the difference, even less if that's the world you've experienced from birth.
what I don't really think possible is an "machines revelation" I mean, a superior being has absolutely no need to care about,in fact a pure logical entity will simply care about neutralizing the threat and noting more, hollywood always ruins good ideas :@

Ok, I was just talking about the first idea, but it would be a great discussion the second one too, I'll post it later. Do you think there would be no way to discover when you are in a fake world? I think no matter how realistic it is, it would be cold in feelings.

OMFG xDDDD wrong window!! that answer was supposed to go here: http://www.mylot.com/w/discussions/974382.aspx my apologies, I wish I could delete it, well regarding THIS topic I think that there is something that people don't realize about the virtual world of the inside of the Matrix and that is not everything is fake, I mean everything you can perceive with your senses is but not as well as with the things people do, the messages they send each other, not the medium the message is carried on but the message itself, that WAS real and in fact, this same post I'm writing, it will reach you not as a direct communication from me but as a representation of it that the computer generates, that may not be considered "real" to our purposes but the message sent is, and well, while there is people and while they feel I don't thing it could possibly be cold, you will receive the others affect by some way or another.

yes i think this concept can be real. and some times i believe that it may be running this time too....
because we havent see the god, but there is some power anywhere ,who doing control on us . and it may be that person created matrix and we are part of that.
here isnt machine but he is controlling us by human hand, by making mind. and we called him god....

who can creat your heart , he can also fill it by love and feelings which can some times help him....
some times we get feared to search some thing or fight from anything, or believe in some power. isnt it ?
why dont you think that , its help him (god) to be safe .
what do you think ?
