what does the star means?

i had just reached 100 post and was given a green star from mylot. i haven't been doing very well with my dscussions, but i'm still enjoying mylot. i need to know what the color of the star means and how to increase the number inside the star. please advice. thank you.

Actually i too reached 100 posts yesterday & they gave me 8 stars.Actually it is rating given to you by my lot users.If your responses get mostly + from the users your rating will increase.Try & post quality discussions your rating will increase.

well i dont know about the meaning of the color but it is your rating star. you increase it more by, i think, putting more to your responses and help people more.
