Hey ppl, I was recently thinking about it after some of the guyz got caught in the mock IGCSE exams..How bad cheating really is??I mean helping a guy who is a real B*****D in class is wrong but what about someone whos good in class but just can't get stuff nside his/her head?? I mean our personality means more than our marks in the world..what do you say??

If you help someone cheat in an exam you're disrespecting your classmates who've done the work, and also not helping the person who's cheating. Sooner or later they're going to find themselves doing something where they can't cheat, and will get found out. I appreciate that revising for exams is hard - when I was at achool I used to have problems with maths and French - but I stuck with it. I genuinely believe that anyone who's good at classwork can do sufficient revision to get reasonable marks in an examination. What usually happens is that some people just can't be bothered to do the work needed. Yous say personality counts more - well, think of this. Is someone who cheats, and gets other people to help them, or helps someone else cheat - the sort of person you want to have in a job where ethics and trust are important?

steelmoggy said it better than I ever could! Enabling others to cheat off of you does them more harm than good in the long run. It can also get YOU into trouble. Best thing to do is help these friends study.

Cheating in exams is in the blood of all studends, whether dull or brilliant. It is, however, more prominent among the dull or lazy ones. Cheating in exams is bad, and tantamounts to stealing. It leads to an unearned joy or glory. It frustrates and discourages hardwork. Moreover, it eventually creates mediocrity. It partly leads to some people not being able to perform in their functions, slowing down the progress of the society. Cheating in exams,in whatever guise and by whoever, should be discouraged and met with stiff penalties. Any teacher or examiner that encourages or promotes cheating should be severely sanctioned.

For me, cheating is bad. First, it means that you don't respect yourself and you don't have a confidence on yourself with the exams. Second, you will make other people look at you in weird face. If you have a good grade, people will not respect you at all. They will said that you gain your grade because you are cheating. And one day if you have a good grade without cheating, they will still say that you are cheating. Third, you will not able to absorb the point of what we have been teached for. After all, we need what we learned at school on our job later on. With cheating, we will not gain anything from school.
