It's back in My Unresolved Discussion! Why?

before the holidays last week, i made sure to try and clean up my unresolved discussions where only 5 discussions were left. all these 5 discussions have responses, mind you. i just wasn't able to choose the best one yet. one is about the pay-out so i figured, i'd wait until the actual pay-out before i award the BR. but one of them, the topic is about best responses, i marked the best response, she has expressed her appreciation already for receiving it... and now... it's back in my unresolved discussions! i am confused. how do i deal with this? has anyone experienced this? should i award this again? or let it be? or what? i was supposed to give her a PM just to inform her about it... but i found out that the person i awarded the BR is not in my mylot friends' list. and then i checked if she's still active... very much so. what should i do with this? i already feel a little bad although i know it's just a little thing (it's as if i gave an award and then later took it back). :(
