privacy of a 15 year old boy

should i ask my father to provied me with a seperate room where i can study seperately and sleep seperately but when i asked my friends they told that it will increase the gap between me and my family i heard that in countrys like America when boys reach the age of 13-14 they are provided with a seperate room ....

A 15 year old boy should have some privacy. My kids are 2 years old and 15 months old adn they have their own seperate rooms.

it's ok. at your age you should learn how to be on your own. it will also help you become independent..and i see no problem about it. Some parents do give their child a seperate room as early as a month old. so, i think it is best for you to have your own room now.
