Why Women traditionally are homemakers???

Since ages, we have known that it is the women folk who do all the household chores. It is a different issue that in modern times women have started working professionally outside the household, and alongside also doing the household chores. I wonder that does it has to do anything with man's potency? Is is because that men might lose/have reduced potency by working long hours near a fire-place? And women might not be getting affected by the heat of the stove while cooking food. I am really looking for an answer to this.

I think women have been consigned to the home because of child bearing. After a child is born, the mother had to care for it, nursing it, etc., which tended to interfered with her being able to go out to hunt or work outside the home. With more than one child the difficulties of handling them outside the home area would increase. Men were freer to roam and hunt. I don't think heat near a stove or fire place would impact on a man's potency.

It is not true that working near the fire place will reduce mens potency. Since the beginning women used to take care of household things and men used to earn the bread. It is a common human behavior. It is good for everyone if Women are home makers and men are money makers.

Here in the States it's not as common anymore, I mean yeah sure there are a lot of housewives, but it's becoming more and more common for men to stay home these days.
