What's your best method of roasting a large marshmallow?

I grew up making somore's at the beach pit fire. We had all our own best way to achieve a perfectly toasty marshmallow. The only one i've ever used. If camping, put it on one stick, hold it over camp fire, until it catches fire on one side then blew out the flames. It's so difficult to avoid that anyway. If not camping, put it on a cooking fork (the 2 prong type) and hold it over a hot stove burner (gas or electric), until one side of the marshmallow catches on fire then blew it out before the smoke alarm has a fit. What is your method?
