actors and actresses have infiltrated politics in the philippines. but not all of them made it. we thought FPJ would, but what happened? allegedly, some cheats were done to keep him away from winning. do you think cesar would win? how about other actors and actresses?

According to the survey, he is not even in the magic 12 so I think he will not win in this election. Before he wins, I think Richard Gomez will come first because at least Goma already has an experience in politics.

actually, in the latest survey, cesar montano is faring a lot better than richard gomes. if i'm not mistaken, cesar is at #16, richard at #22. both, in my opinion, would find it hard to get into the magic 12. honestly, i'd rather they stick to making movies than getting into politics.

depends on who made the survey i think. survey groups could be swayed by some power too, and probably money. :)

i also don't think he would make it, after filing for candidacy he said he would no longer run, and then, took it back. where's the consistency there? and when he finally said he would run, he doesn't look like that determined at all. so, maybe people will see that and think twice before putting his name on their ballots.

yeah, and as for richard gomez, he was supposed to run for governor in bulacan, then he decided to level up big time and be a senator instead. what's up with that? i live in bulacan and i don't think people here would vote for him as the governor, how much more as a senator.

i agree. consistency is always a good criterion for judging. i hope people see that, as you said.

Cesar will not make it to the senatorial seat that he aspires. An award in the Unicef is not a passport to be a senator. That is a big jump from say elementary to college.Fpj really won in the last election but he is cheated.Fpj is king of Phillipine movies for 5 decades and that is the reason why he has tremendous support from the masses. He is also known for his clean living image and that helps a lot.Other actors won because the administration has something to do with it.If they can pull the trick again, maybe he will win.

exactly, rdurusan. a UNICEF award won't definitely help him in the elections. as they say, the more power you have, the more you could manipulate people.

Wow really is cesar montano running for this election? and what position is he running for? Sorry I'm a little outdated when it comes to philippines news. Everybody has the right to run for elections, specially if you have enough money for the campaign, qualified to run for the position and lots of knowledge when it comes to politics. I think the question is will you vouch or vote for him in the coming election?

cesar montano, the filipino actor who won an award from the UNICEF because of his self-directed film "Panaghoy sa Suba" (im not sure of the exact title, sorry)is currently running for SENATOR this coming May elections.

I don't think he would win... I am expecting that Filipino voters nowadays are intelligent enough to make their choices... I am not sure about his priorities when he won the Senatorial election, his platform is so unclear to me... I'd rather vote for Trillanes and Honasan.
