what if someone, a suitor you totally like, or a boyfriend, or a partner, asks you to choose between a blue diamond necklace (Heart of the Ocean) and a complete set of the latest high-end gadgets (eg laptop, LCDs, cellphone, name it.) as a gift. The choice is yours. Let's see.

i think i would choose the latter. i would really want something i could use. i don't see the value of jewels that much. and most probably i would just sell the necklace to the government or the museum or some rich person, and then, buy the gadgets. so, why go through all that hassle if i really wanted the gadgets in the first place? i'm really into electronic gadgets nowadays, maybe comes with the frustration of being a computer engineer. hehehe!

well, most probably women of today are more practical and would think twice about their choices and see things in the long run and would not settle for things that are not really of use.

I would go for the gadgets. I'm not much for wearing jewelery anyway. PLus, I would prefer to get something that we both could enjoy, like a Plasma TV!

Well first of all I wouldn't want a silly prop necklace from the Titanic :P
That's way to freaknig cheesy.
Not to mention I HATE diamonds of any kind, except the black diamonds, those are cool.
so I would totally take the nifty techy stuff!

I totally agree. I'm not a jewelry type of girl and diamonds are not my best friend, give me a high-end pda and I'll be all over you. LOL. I'm really more of the techie type. A laptop, cell phone, but a PDA is much more preferable. I don't even know what a blue diamond necklace looks like and the only jewelry I own are a pair of earrings which I recently lost.
