Writing and page views

I am a first time writer on associated content, and i began writing to help my husband with bills as i have been looking for a job for a long while, since december to no avail. so i found out about ac and i began writing. i am so excited about this. my first article was about pelvic inflamitory disease, it has received one hundred and sixty six page views. to me this was a huge accomplishment for a first time writer. since then i have set goals that i would like my articles to reach. well to make a long story short i have all you readers here at mylot as well as my readers from other areas to thank as you all have made one article that i posted on ac exceed the goals that i set for it. my goal was that at least two hundred people may be reached by this interview. thanks to all my readers even the first time ones this article made it in the showcase, which exceeded the goal in the first place, now after the page views have been updated it has received 1316 page views. thank you all for your help. This article was an exclusive interview i did with the son of serial killer David Gore. John wanted others to know about the life of the children whos parents have commited such heinous crimes, and granted me the interview in hopes that at least one life could be changed. I believe since so many have read this article that his wish will ultimately come true! thanks to all!

Wow - I am so very impressed with what you have done. Not only your accomplishment of writing but to pick such a unique topic. It is no wonder that it has gotten so much attention. Personally I have never thought of doing such a thing - interviewing the child of a convicted killer.
I too am a writer but so far all of my work has been as a ghost writer (freelance) so although there are hundreds of articles and several e-books on the internet that I've written to this point my name is not on one of them. It's kinda exciting seeing my work displayed but a little depressing at the same time to see someone else taking the credit. Oh well, for the time it's paying my bills but I would like to start writing for some of the sites such as AC where I can get recognized for my work.
Back to you though - congratulations, job very very well done.

thank you so much. i would be very interested in reading some of your writings. i am hoping to be able to write a book eventually but for now i am using ac to learn how to write so that when i do it will be after much practice. i love to write and hopefully one day i will be good. the reason it has done so good is not because of what i have done but because the readers have made this an accomplishment! i just wanted to thank everyone who made this possible!

Oh I think you need to take credit for your success - you picked a very unique and fresh topic to write on. I'm sure many many people read your article for the topic. I do think you did very well writing but for the most part people I'm sure are attracted to the topic.
Afraid that's what stinks about ghost or freelance writing, I spend all my time working on that and no time working on my own stuff. For several months I've been interested in AC and CC but still have not produced a thing worthy of posting there.

i try to write at least one article a day, i am working at making that two a day till i work up to alot a day, then i might feel worthy enough for the book, hopefully you will be able to write on ac soon as well.

this is great if you are using the medium to earn and helping as well. I wanted to try and write about associated content but didnt got a chance to try it. Do they pay reasonable ? is it based on page views ? how was your overall experience. you think you will make something at the end of the day with ac ?

it does help some. some people make more in a day as to how many articles that they write a day. right now i am doing about one to two articles a day but others are doing six or more a day and some have made it a full time job as far as pay. i have heard that hey are paying less right now because they have a bounus thing now, but i don't do too bad. Congratulations! So far the most page views I have gotten on something that I posted on Associated Content was a memoir of A Night in the Life of an Exotic Dancer. I got 1,441 views on it so far. http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/135451/violet_by_night_a_night_in_the_life.html
