I have this great new gadget?

Have you seen the record player that will transfer the music to the computer? We had one for Christmas and it is great. I can now listen to the old records that have not been out of their covers for ages but I don't need to keep using them over and over as I can transfer to the computer and listen from there next time. This also means that I can then put them on CD and listen elsewhere too. Mind you I will have to confer with the children about how to do that!! It is also possible to enhance the tracks and get rid of fuzz but that is also a bit too much for me to cope with yet.

I would love to hear about your gadget magicalmerlin. I also have a lot of old records - 78's and 45's which I would love to transfer on to my pc. My son transferred some of the LPs but he has since moved to the USA and I would like to transfer the remainder of my collection.

Thanks a million. I will check it out on the internet to see if I can get one, if not I will try to get one when I go to the UK later this year.
