Well, it's F1 season, and this time I finally saved up enough(barely) to make it to the circuit for all three days. So I won't be around on my lot for a few days, but I will be missing it, that's for sure. Today was the first day actually, and all I could think about, was what to discuss on my lot and if I'll have enough time to comment on my discussions. We are a pathetic bunch here at my lot, he he. Well, so just wanted to let you know that if you don't see any comments on your responses in any of my discussions, then that's because I'm not around, but when I'm back, I'll be tackling each and everyone of you..... not physically of course. So, I hope to see a lot of "hope to see you soon, vega83"s when I come back.......

Hey I'm sorry i wasn't on in a while.I guess i should've told you just like you did.Anyways its too late.lol. I was kind of busy with my project work and stuff. You know its my last year of college and its required of us to submit it.It was fun and hard at the same time.Fun in the sense,it was whole new experience for us and also hard cuz we really had to break our heads to create our software(thats our project). Anyways i'm back and I'll make sure that i let you know before i leave.Have fun watching your F1.

This may sound like a silly question but what is F1? By circuit I am thinking this is some kind of sporting event, or am I gettting that wrong? Hope you enjoy.

Oh no, it's not silly, silly is when people pretend to know something and are afraid to ask, and keep being ignorant, asking a question is the smartest thing a person can do. Okay, let me see, how do i put this.... Have you heard of formula one racing, it's actually a racing event, small cars, basically an engine on wheels, the grand prix, Michael Schumacher, ring any bells yet?

yes I have heard of Formula one I just didn't realize that F1 meant that. Even living where I do in NJ where there is a Raceway about 20 minutes or so away doesn't help since my interest in racing is limited. When it comes to racing, I suppose my biggest interest is movies about it LOL as in Herbie the Love Bug when I was a kid, and some bios of drivers. Having seen the bios of drivers I can see where there is a great deal of work, effort, and skill involved it is just not something that is a thrill for me. Besides it is loud LOL. And I have seen the photos of my brother in law's racing days, still I can see why it is popular most people drive. The skill involved in racing for many would be a draw.

You're right, massive skills are involved with racing.... For me, my best interest in racing would have to be in, drum roll,..... gaming of course..... So what kind of racing was your bro-in-law into?

Wow, you are going to the grand prix? I am not a fan myself but I know the tickets cost quite a bit. I hope you get a good spot... the grand stand tickets would be really expensive but at other spots, you can't even see a thing. You need to bring your binoculars. :P

Well, I did get a good spot, it is the last turn grand stand, or the victory grand stand, I can see most of the track, with or without binoculars but I carried binoculars with me anyway to get a better view. I could also see some of the starting grid, but not the pit lane, I do agree that the grand stand is always thought to be the best, but the only thing is that the starting grid is in your face, and that's it, you can't see much of the circuit and that's not good for me since I like to know and physically see everything that's going on the race track. I am really into it. The tickets are expensive for most stands but they're different for each, the one that I got was 30 BD for 3 days, which is like a 100$ or less, but that's really good for 3 days, don't you think? I just returned from race day and it was so awesome, I was rooting for Ferrari, and both drivers got podium positions so it really worked out great for me, 3 whole days of fun, awesome!!

ha ha, I know what you mean... but I really wanted to go this time, so I saved up good for it. I missed the last two times, and I felt so sucky later that this time I promised myself that I would try my best to go. So I did.

well, I do like car racing, in video games, and in real life, although I've never raced myself. F1 became a big event in Bahrain when we had the first grand prix here in 2004, it was great, the date was 04.04.04, 4th april 2004, I went that year, but I couldn't go the last two, because I just couldn't save up enough, but this year, I just had to go, and so I saved up. I had a great time!!!

well, I'm back and I gotta say, I thoroughly enjoyed myself. It was a great race, really exciting and I enjoyed all 3 days with my sister and my friend, I too follow grand prix on TV, but it's just so much fun actually being there and cheering them on, and people always say it's better to watch f1 on TV, because you know what's going on, but I actually knew each and every detail of what was happening, and it was awesome!!

I only just saw this discussion. I wondered about Grand Prix racing as they use so much petrol. I am glad you enjoyed yourself and had good seats. Do you ever think that since petrol is going to run out that it should not be used in this way? It would not be the same with electric powered racing cars!!! LOL

yeah, well, it's a sport I enjoy watching, and it is the event of the year here. I do understand the ramifications of it, but I wouldn't want my discussions mixed here, I hope you don't mind.

Oh no, why would I mind, it's not like you started it here, you just asked me a question. Hey, why don't you start a discussion about this one? It might be interesting. At least I would read it, and respond too. If you do, then do notify me if you have, because I've turned notifications off, was getting too many mails.

Yeah, Sure. I wondered whether I should have started another but thought it would not get read. Glad you didn't mind.
