herbal remedy for house lizards?

can you please help me by suggesting some herbal or home medicine to keep away house lizards? i find these creepy crawly things very scary and always have great trouble spraying those obnoxious, obviously toxic chemicals inside the house. they might kill or keep the lizards away for sometime, but they are potentially dangerous for human health too.
would you please help? is there any herb or leaves or some such thing which helps keep away these creatures from getting into the house?

Do you mean "Geckos?"...If so they are not dangerous.They won't hurt you.They don't bite & if you will notice they eat the spiders and other little annoying bugs.And personally I am more concerned and worried over spiders,they can really hurt you.I live on Maui,geckos are common & also considered good luck if they're in your house.(What kind of house lizards are you referring to?)

am talking about lizards which crawl on the walls and there are bigger ones like Geckos running across the floor too. they might not be harmful, but i find them creepy all the same and am really scared of them. and, lizards ARE poisonous too.
PLEASE suggest something to get rid of them, or just keep them away from my house.
