so who like REAL metal

i love true metal! old school metal is the best.. old school albums from old school metal bands like slayer.. iron maiden.. many more.. i love them all.

To a certain extent, I find that black metal juxtaposes emo music very well. It is definitely a very different genre, with its characteristic songwriting and production values. Though of course, in many ways, they do share somewhat similar ideologies. Both a fairly dark in one way or another, though black metal is usually about satanism, etc. Though there are some bands which are all depressed and such, which is an obvious overlap. However, those overlaps do present an apparent difference in the magnitude of the ideology. Emo music tends to be "fake"; black metal can also be but it actually has a real counterpart (within its own genre) to compare the real vs. fake idea. Black metal communicates evil, aggression, depression and overall a very dark feeling. It is surely a powerful genre crushing any garbage known as "emo".
