Peanut butter and jelly.

I like peanut butter and jelly, but there is one thing that grosses me out. When I take the jar of jelly out of the fridge and open it to find grody chunks of peanut butter in it. I always use separate utensils for each jar, but for some reason my family won't. I have complained and complained, and I am tempted to buy my own and hide it!! I don't even know why this bothers me, but it makes me gag. Does this bother anyone else? Or am I just weird?

It bothers me too and I dont even like peanut butter. Well i like it wrapped in chocolate and called a reese's bar but not on a sandwich. I use a knife for the peanut butter and a spoon for the jelly.

Mmmmm, Reeses, yum! I use a knife for the peanut butter and a spoon for the jelly too, at least I am not the only one!

Pardon me for being dense but what is "grody" please? And again, forgive my penchant for stating the obvious but I would have thought that you would find peanut butter in a jar of peanut butter and jelly.

Grody is just another term for gross. And obviously, it's not a jar of peanut butter and jelly, but two separate jars, one of peanut butter and one of jelly.

My family does the same thing. I don't like the peanut butter in the jam either so I too use separate knives when I'm making a sandwich. I've asked them to do that probably a million times, but do you think they listen to good old mom? No way. LOL!

That is really "grody" (hee hee) to me too (I use grody also). I always use two separate knifes because I don't want to mix them up. You don't want to open up the jelly for toast or something and see peanut butter in there..icky!! You are not weird-at least not to me-beacuse that would REALLY bother me too!!

don't worry my dear as it bothers me as well...probably it's just being too meticulous. there's nothing wrong both being mixed, it's just the sight of it, lol! so you're not alone there...it still tastes nice though, lol!

I like peanut butter and jelly. And I must admit to find a jar of jelly with peanut butter in it, won't look appetizing to me. So may be that's why it doesn't appealed to you too. I don't think it's weird. I don't know it's still not the same thing, eventhough they are already mixed together. Maybe you should buy your own and hide as you said. (^^,LOL) Have a nice day Dluku!
