Do Men always Lie about what they do?

i always have more male friends than females. even when i was still single and that started since i was in high school. i have several close male close friends until now and they are always open to me and trust me some stories about themselves and their 'activities'. i also happen to be friends with their wife/girlfriends/fiances that we also have some moments of hanging out together and get to talk about many things particularly about our men in our lives. i always realize then that most of these girls' stories about their men are very different from what these men really are or do. their claims just don't match up. do men always lie about what they do? or do people overstate who their lovers' are or what they do?

Chocobaby, I can completely realte to this because I have a lot of male friends and know LOTS of their little secrets which their girlfriends/wives would have NO idea about. I don't think that they lie outright but they do keep things from their other halves that they may not want to know or hear because it could jeopardise the relationship. And women tend to idealise their men sometimes and not see what's going on sometimes right in front of their eyes because their men have become very good at hiding it and their "true" selves.

yes, men tend to be dishonest for the sake of keeping their relationship work. thanks for your input, urbangirl.

I totally disagree with you then men mostly lie about what they do. All fingers are not alike. I"ll talk about myself. I haven't done this.

at some point yes, I agree with you. Men have different facets that they want to project to their wives/girlfriends, and they have another side of themselves that they project to their real friends.

I have had similar experiences with a lot of boys - only, I wasn't talking to their girlfriends, I was talking to THEM, lol. They lie, most of them do. You can't really call it lying, its just that they exaggerate the things they do, way too much. I think the most crazy lie I ever heard was a boy who told me that he used to heat paper by concentrating on it! And he was so convincing that I believed him, only to wonder how I could believe such nonsense after the meeting was over. With women becoming better and beating men to a lot of things day by day, most men are insecure. They need to make their stories a little more spicy, to feel that they are great. Very few of them accept the way they really are.
