I have a mild peanut allergy, which is terrible because I actually used to love peanut butter. I love nuts of all kinds, actually, but find that almond and cashew butter are really expensive. So, yesterday I was thrilled to find a new product called 'Sunbutter' made from sunflower seeds. I checked out the label and found that it is comparable to peanut butter as far as protein, fat, carbohydrates, and is actually higher in certain vitamins. It's DELICIOUS. And cheap, compared to almond butter. I think we paid $3.50 or so for a jar the same size as a jar of PB. The only thing that is different is it's quite a bit sweeter, which I think is a very good thing. I plan on giving this to my son instead of PB in case he's peanut sensitive as well... Have you tried this 'Sunbutter'? If so, what do you think?
