I know, there are so very many to choose from, it's almost impossible to decide. I've always been partial to the first Back to the Future--there was something about Michael J. Fox that, to me, summed up the overall attitude of the '80s. But if I had to pick a favourite, I would have to go with Somewhere in Time, based upon Richard Matheson's novel, Bid Time Return. I won't ruin it for you, if you haven't seen it, but it's one of the most bittersweet stories I have ever known.

I like the back to the future movies as well , there a good set of movies about time travel. Although my favourite movie for this is "The Butterfly Effect". Its a very confusing movie, nonetheless, about a guy who goes back and changes things that happened in his life. Most of the time this causes a disastrous effect and he goes back and tries to change something else again. It is a good movie to show how much things can change if we did something different in our past.
The whole plot of it is a certain guy trying to make life better for everyone else and in the end, he achieve this. i wont tell you how though, you would just have to watch the movie and find out.

Thanks for the reply, jay! You know, I almost mentioned The Butterfly Effect. I absolutely LOVE the premise behind that movie. Oh, how I wish I could do that, though the nosebleeds don't look like too much fun. Hey, have you seen The Butterfly Effect 2? It came out straight to video, so I have my doubts about it.

No i havent actually seen that one yet, its one of the ones on my too watch list. Although i havent been able to find it in my video store, and it didnt come out in the movies here either i dont think, So im pretty sure it will not be as good as the original. Although i think it would still be interesting to see what happens in this one too, if it follows the same line as the first.

My favorite is still 'Back to the Future' it's very funny and entertaining especially the part where Marty's mother is flirting with him. It also tells us that once in a while we have to stand up and fight for ourselves when the bullies are trying so hard to put us down.

I'm glad to see that so many people still enjoy Back to the Future. I don't know if you ever noticed this, but do you remember the name of the mall at the beginning of the first film? It was the Twin Pines Mall. After Marty went back in time and crashed into one of the "Twin Pines" with his car, when he returned home in the end, the mall was then call the "Lone Pine Mall." Isn't that cool? :)

I love time travel movies and have seen many of them. "The Back To the Future" series was really good. I loved how they did all that. Christopher Lloyd was perfect for Doc Brown. Well I've enjoyed him in most I've seen him in ever since Taxi. I also liked "Time Cop" and "Warlock", two very good movies dealing with time travel. One of my favorites is "The Final Countdown" which deals with the USS Nimitz going back to the day before Pearl Harbor. Very good movie. One I highly recommend.

Ooh . . . Warlock with Julian Sands. I LOVED that movie, even though it was a bit on the campy side. I don't know if you know, but they made two sequels. The first sequel had Julian as the Warlock, but the follow-up had a new guy, who wasn't nearly as good.

Yup, it certainly did have Christopher Reeve, which is another reason why I like it so much--how can someone not like Superman? *grin* The Time Machine was another good one, the original and the remake with Guy Pearce.
