Can Dreams Hurt You? What Do You Think?

I have read a lot of articles and I have run across people who when we end up in this discussion are of the opinion that let's say you are dreaming you fell off a tall story building that if you didn't wake up before you hit the ground you would die. I myself feel that is a bit far feached. I do believe that dreams can give you a message but dieing because of danger in your dream I find it hard to believe. What do you folks think?

No I think it is one of these "old wives tales". If you think about it... you die in your sleep how can you tell anyone what you were dreaming about????

It is an old superstition and the medical researches say it is not true, people say a lot of crazy things. Yes dreams can warn you about stuff, I have had prophetic dreams where the future has been revealed to me.

Okay maybe that is a little far fetched.I have heard of the effect of dreams causing some heart patients to have complications.I truly believe my dreams sometimes effect the way I feel when I wake up in the morning.I just find it hard to believe that I would die if I did not wake up.Well that is my opinion Have a wonderful day!!

if a dream hurt you... doesnt it called a nightmare. its no longer a dream when it is hurting.

I have also heard this. I don't know if I believe it, but since I've never been hurt in a dream I don't know.
I take that back. I was sleeping away about 8 months ago & dreamed a box fell on my head.
How real was this dream? I looked for the box! Our guess is that one of the cats landed on my head & hit me with some bony part of their leg that made me dream it was a box.
A few months later another cat fell off the bookshelf & scratched my jaw! I want to remove their access to that bookshelf, but don't have a place to move the piece of furniture yet.
