What first attracted you to your partner?

Was it their looks or their personality? Was it the way they dressed, the colour of their hair, or, perhaps, the job they did? And if you are currently single - what would you look for in a prospective new partner? Are looks more important than personality?

I have to admit it, I checked out the butt and I like it! After that it was so many things, the smile, the beautiful hands, the sweet personality, and his persistence! He was/is the total package!

Most probably Rosie it was the look in his eyes, so very much in love with me, that made him my choice :) I thought, this guy really, really loves me, and so, we are still together, after 26 years

I wonder why it is that us women are always so attracted by men with nice eyes? Thanks for your response.

I was first attracted to my husband when i was 6- he was 7 and picking on my neighbor who was in his class-- after he made her mad he got this mischievious grin on his face and he looked so cute, ever since then i always liked him. Then as teenagers we were dating different people and we used to talk about our partners and what we disliked in the relationship and what we wanted from the relationship and we always wanted the same things, honesty, trust, romance, etc. We started dating when i was 18 and he was 19- been together ever since. Although i have to say he is not what i look for in a guy... i always liked the bad boys and the rough looking guys...he has a baby face! LOL

Should I be looking for something...anything? I like a guy to be tall but my male friends of late have been barely taller than me. I also like someone to be well spoken and not to use bad language. He needs to be friendly and kind and have the ability to make me laugh, either because he's funny or just because he makes me happy. He must be outgoing and dress appropriately, he must be a gentleman and treat me well. He should be warm hearted and in touch with his feelings and able to express them. He should be thoughtful and courteous. He should enjoy his food and be active and be able to fix the car and maintain the home and he should do so. He should be willing to lend a hand or an ear or a shoulder. He either doesn't exist or someone else has already claimed him...lol.

I think I already claimed him! LOL! Though my man is only about an inch taller than me (I'm 5ft 7ins, and he's 5ft 8ins), so he lacks a little in the "tall" department. Thanks for responding.

my boyfriend's smile was the first thing which attracted me most. then months after, it's his personality which made me fall inlove with him... his patience and pure love made me fall inlove with him more each day.

I met my partner when I worked at the London Palladium 19 years ago. I saw him from afar and thought he had the most wonderful eyes. His hair was quite long and he was a bit of a hippy. He found out I liked him and it took him 2 weeks to ask me out on a date! Luckily his personality was as good as his cute looks and although we have been through a few rough patches I don't think we would have lasted this long if it was only down to his looks.

I met my husband over 11 years ago when we worked for the same company. I used to go into work early just so I could watch him while he read his Bible before his shift started. Honestly, that was the thing that attracted me to him first, along with the quiet, yet confident way he carried himself. It just says a lot about a person if they are getting to work early just to read the Bible before starting the day...to me, it showed me that he probably had morals, and that he was striving to be the best person he could be. We're still together, married now for 10 years!

i used to like a person.. and let me shre to you! i think i fall to him in the first meeting. but itss not that he's handsome or goodlooking ( as per my colleagues told me he's not that cute ha ha ha ) it's how he look ( nwei since i guess my type is bit matured that me ) i know gurls attraction goes how the guy look, others how or cologne he puts on, the shoes ha ha ha funny? yeah its true! the height and hhmmm personality.

My partner and I met in a chatroom. We just started chatting one day. I got to know his personality before I ever got to see what he looked like. I loved the corny jokes he would tell me. Then when we finally did meet in person I knew just by looking at him that he was the man that I was going to marry.
