My house is usually at 74 in the winter, and 72 in the summer. What do you have your house thermostat at ? Or if you have differnet thermostats depending on the room , do you make certain rooms warmer/ colder than others?

I love to be warm. So in the winter my temp. is usually set for 75-78 and in the summer unless it's in the 90's my air does not go on. I am hoping to move to Florida sometime before I die.

Wow, do you ever like to be warm! 75-78 degrees??? I like to be warm too, but if I turned the thermostat up that high I wouldn't be able to stand it! When I give the baby a bath, I turn it up to 75 since I bathe her in the kitchen sink, but I'm always sweating the whole time.

We keep the house around 74 in winter, at little warm for me, but it's ok. Around 72-74 in the summer for the central air. I like it cold though!

Our home is between 68 and 75 degrees most of the time. In the winter we keep the heat turned down fairly low because we all like to wear sweatshirts anyway. I also do home daycare and rowdy children tend to generate their own heat. lol In the summer I keep the doors and windows open as much as possible. I only run the air conditioner when it is very humid or my allergies are bothering me.

Me and my husband don't ever agree on this but I usually win. He likes it rather cool during winter and summer both. I like it very warm in the winter and comfortably cool in the summer. So usually our thermostat is set at 71-72 in the winter and summer although I could live with 74 in the summer, except when it gets into the 90s outside and it's unbearable.

I keep my house at a very cool temperature during the summer time and during the winter time, I keep it at a warm temperature. I'm the kind of person who likes to sleep flat out, meaning I like to sleep with my arms spread wide open and and my legs stretched out. It's just alot better that way to me. But in order to that, my bed needs to be cool at all time and the temperature needs to stay around 74 degree constantly.

I think that 68 degrees i the ideal temperature. At all times i keep it at that temperature. If i ever get cold i can go find a sweater.

My house is at a different temp all the time- In the winter and fall we heat with wood stove for our major source of heat- I love it- The stove is in the basement and the wood too- so not a big mess and not an eyesore- Some days the house gets in the 80's-- Thats when I open the windows-- Picture that-- Winter and snowing and me with my windows and sliding glass door open! : ) In the summer we don't heat-- we draw the shades and the curtains in the daytime-- to keep the heat out- Man it gots pretty hot-- If it gets too hot we turn on the A/C. In the Spring the funrace runs-- we keep the house about 68-70. So we are all over the board- Its a safe bet to anyone who comes to wear short sleeves most of the time- Its warm in here!

In the fall/wintertime I keep the house at 71-72. During the spring/summer months I keep it at 69-70. The baby's room is always the coldest room in the house in the winter and the hottest room in the house in the summer so sometimes I adjust the thermostat a little bit to try and make her room a little more comfortable. She does have an overhead fan in her room but it doesn't seem to help all that much. A little bit, but not as much as I would expect.

Well for me it depends on if my husband is at home or not. At night when we are in bed it is kept at 71 degrees. But the rest of the day it verys. When I get up in the morning I will turn it up to 76 or 77 until my husband gets home. Then it gets turned down to 74/75 sometimes 73. Of course my husband likes it cold so on the weekends it stays at 73/74 during the day until bedtime.

By the way, I don use any device to maintain my room temperature. However, I have a plan to put an AC in future.

Hey friend! I just posted this same question this morning...sorry I hadn't seen yours first. I keep my temp around the 70 degree mark. Keeps the electric bills lower! Of course, when the kids don't feel well or get really uncomfortable, I change it to accomodate them.
