I have heard that confession of a sin helps people over come the guilt associated with the sin. Is it true? Do we really need to confess ? just check out http://www.my-sins.com and confess your sins probably you will be able to live better .

Confession seems to me a kind of exorcising of demons. We confess to get whatever is troubling of our minds. So,I agree that in tis sense confession can and is a good thing. However I also believe that once the confession is made, it needs to be let go, set out into the universe,as it were. Holding on to whatever someone else or we ourseleves and reliving it over and over in unhealthy.

To admit, confess and repent of a fault is healthy. If one finds that one has wronged another, it is noble and dignified to approach the person and confess the act. There are times, however, when one may need an escort or witness for such confrontations. On the other hand, there are some things that one may find necessary to rather confess to God and repent of, than to another, least one start another fire that may burn for a very long time.
