Electronic media is advancing very fast. Each and every newspapers are also served online and it's free to get e-paper in your mailbox. This trend is gradually increasing and people are giving less interest on newspapers as they are always online with cheap Internet services available and get all the news online. Should this trend go on the traditional habit of reading newspaper will be abolished very soon. What's your view.

I think that we'll be using newspapers till the end of time. Imagine the situation where you drink your morning coffee and read newspaper, yeah, that's pretty nice. You can do the same with laptop now days, when we have wireless networks and all, but spill the coffee and it's quite an expensive cup of coffee. Reading from screen isn't that comfortable either, at least with most of laptops. You can't fit full page on it or if you do, text is so small that who knows what's it saying. Normal screens starts to be bigger, but they mainly have the same problem(I have 22" monitor and it's still too small to fit 2 pages at the same time, like you could do with normal newspaper. Information is easily updated in internet, so they will and have taken their place in media as fast source of information. Situation could change when they invent such a paper like screen, which you could use for reading wirelessly. And it should be able to survive from coffee spills;)

Hi, Personally I don't buy papers anymore, but thats maybe because I'm near a pc 24/7. I don't think we will yet see traditional newspapers go out of the door, there are many people especially the elderly who just don't have or have knowledge of the internet, and what about all the workers who take their papers with them to work to read on breaks etc.

I don't think that the advancement of the Internet is going to put an end to newspapers because there are many people including myself who like better to read on paper than online. Reading online for a long time makes me tired so I usually read my newspapers on paper.
