I started a few weeks back with a bunch of people who have already dropped out of Mylot. I can't figure out why people would want to give up such a great thing. I'm wondering if you think if they believe it's too time consuming, not enough money, or if there is some other reason. Please share your thoughts.

I think people drop off because theya re expecting to make LOTS of money. I ahve come to the realization that unless it is a scam you will not ever make HUGE amounts of money by online things like this. But I am not here to make lots of money and retire early (like so many scams tell you). Firstly, I didn't ahve to pay any money to join Mylots and yet I am making money. Honestly, I did sign on for the money but since I have been here for a month now I am staying because I love the forums, the posts, the replies, the people. I love being able to share my thoughts and opinons and seeing what others think.

I have some thoughts on why. I know my first week or so its a little hard to get a feel for the place. It does take awhile to start a few discussions that you will get one or two responses two and maybe none even. I once wrote a quick note to ask how you get into the loop of meeting people and the like.and someone was kind enough to let me know once people see you here and get to know you in no time you will find a few friends and then your good to go and that's how it happens. I met some great people I responded to there stuff they responded to mine and then more and more and now I just love it here. some people don't have the patience to wait it out i think. its a shame really because they are missing out on a great experience Cheryl

Hmm, could be that they aren't seeing their money add up fast enough. Or they might like you stated think it is too time consuming for the amount they were getting. Another could be the lack of response they get on their posts. Or simply they've moved on to something else.

I have a feeling that it has to do with the money. They don't see it coming in fast enough so they lose interest. I'm having fun with it though and the money is an added bonus. Thanks!

Some people don't feel like putting in the effort to make money with this site so they get bored and quit within a few days. When I first started I had a few friends who posted like 100 posts a day but now they all moved on to other money making sites like cash crate and stuff. I only do a few posts here and there at Mylot since I'm busy with real life and stuff so yea.

Well, they mustve been lured here with a "make money" referral. They must've thought that they could make easy money here. And by easy I mean 1000s of dollars, not doing anything. When they found out that it wasn't going to happen; they just quit. I think that people who refer people into mylot should choose other catchwords, not the "make money" line. They just (mostly) lure users who only stay here for a while and then leave almost as suddenly.

If people get the wrong expection then I don't see them lasting in mylot. To be honest I've been lured into mylot for the money and nothing else. I knew it is going to be slow after reading several posts regarding people's experiences so I changed my expectations. I now don't expect much. I don't plan to spend lots of time on it in order to reach a certain target. I enjoy reading other people's ideas and adding my own views to the discussion. So I'll be sticking around.

If they joined to make money then maybe they found they just weren't making enough to justify the amount of time they had to spend on here. Maybe they just didn't like it much or maybe they just got bored or have more important things to do. I tend to drift in and out of myLot as well - sometimes I don't post for weeks because I have other things to do so don't have times. I also just get bored with it from time to time and prefer to do other things.

I believe it's because of all three of those reasons why people drop out of Mylot. It's either because they don't get paid enough, they don't have enough time, or just have better things to do. I dropped Mylot for three months, but I'm starting again. I gave up because it was also time consuming. Sure, it's easy, trustworthy, and free, but maybe that's not want some people want.

I think some of those people come here thinking that because it's a money making site they think the're gonna make a lot of money. Then when they realize that it takes quite a bit of work for not much money they don't stick around long enoug to appreciate the discussions and the people who are here.

Oh that's an easy one, they come for the money, realise it's damn hard work even getting a dollar and then go back to where they come from pretty sharpish, the rest of us stay here 'cos we like the company and the discussions. Perhaps some don't have time, like myself a few weeks ago I hardly showed my face in mylot for about 4 weeks, but you come back again as there are some wonderful people about.

I agree with what you said about people leaving because of money and amount of time it takes. I think they come here thinking they can just dash off any old thing, like the 'me too' posts. Then when they find they can't they get upset. The time it takes to read and write on a topic also upsets them. None of us are going to make a bundle here, if the money is the only reason for being here then they might as well quit. I like MyLot,the little bits of pay are frosting on the cake of getting to say what I want on various subjects.

Haha, you sure are humorous. You have just given two strong and very valid reason. The money here is not good, and it is too time consuming - especially when the site is slow. So why do you think people are leaving? :P

well, it's not actually time consuming, but maybe they were thinking of fast money. like maybe a respond can give around $50? however, they are not aware that the easiest the money can be obtained, the more scammed the site might be.

I didn't know some of them are dropping out of Mylot! If they are maybe it's because there are so many that has the same discussion, got bored or don't have enought ime to make al the money that they wanted.

I've thought about leaving mylot sometimes too. I don't post as much as I used too but I still check in. I understand why people leave though. It is time consuming and although you do earn some money, most of the time its not worth it. There are just so many discussions that are meaningless and stupid that its hard to find some that are worth spending time to read sometimes.

I think the foremost reason for inactivity is that myLot is really time-consuming. If you want to earn a good money here, you must really concentrate posting messages and it definitely takes a long time for that. Say, for example, alloting 2 hours here at myLot won't give you an average of 5$ earnings. If you are into money only, you will get tired of myLot. Most people are busy these days. I am staying here because I got time and I like the forum very much, the people here are friendly and informative as well as engaging and fun to message to.

Well the main reason is maybe their expectations about the earnings here on mylot were not meet and so they fall out of love here and find other ways to earn higher. Well I feel sorry for them for here in mylot its not about the money for me its about enjoying your time here and meeting new friends and learning things from mylotters.

I think people sign up thinking MyLot will make them instantly a whole lot richer. Then they see they actually have to work hard for their money, and if they only make a few posts day, they'll only get a few cents. People want it to be a free ride - a lot more money for a lot less work. Bu it's not, and when people figure that out, they're lazy. They see to get a lot of money they have to spend a lot of their time on this site. So that's why I think a lot of people drop out of MyLot like they do.

maybe they haven't got all the time or they are too busy making more money elsewhere so mylot seems nothing to them. As for me, :) this is an opportunity to make side incomes and benefit from discussions. Some of my friends were not too keen to join mylot too because it's hard for them to express as they don't speak or write English well. hmm, maybe they just couldn't figure it out, this is one way to improve their english too.
