Would you be upset if your husband-to-be bought your engagement ring at Costco or Sam's Club (Wholesale Discount Warehouses)??

No even if it just a fancy ring. Those are just material representation of his love to me. What is important to me is how deep his love, how far we can go with our relationship together and true love, faith and trust cannot be measured by material things.

I wouldn't be upset, I'm not a material person. His love is what's important, not the pricetag on a ring. Maybe that's all he could afford and it's his thought that counts.

That would not upset me at all, as long as the ring was authentic, not a plated piece of crap with a fake stone that would turn my finger green, and just as long as it wasn't an old ring worn by a former fiance or wife. My Sweetheart and I agreed that if we are to get engaged we'll order my ring from http://www.bidz.com because it's the ring I'm interested, not the cost.

Even though I am already married, no I would not be upset if my husband had brought the engagement and wedding rings at a discount warehouse sort of deal. The rings are only a material way of showing your love to someone else. The real love is deeper than any ring, no matter how expensive, could ever even begin to touch.

I wouldn't. I don't care how much it costs so long as it's real and it looks nice. He could have found it in the street for all I care.

It's the thought that counts. Being materialistic is so superficial and you couldn't find lasting happiness in it. What will you do with a 24 karat diamond ring if the love is not true and deep? Just imagine the celebrities who spent lots of money for their engagement and wedding but their marriages were just short term and many led to separation or divorce. In the end, those rings didn't mean anything at all!
