And this is not because I consider myself to be a stupid person - I have a University degree, and I hold down a very responsible job ..................but there is one thing that totally defeats me lately - and that is how to edit/update my MyLot profile!! Before all the changes here, it was so easy, and I managed to post personal photos, write a bit about myself, upload an avatar etc, with no problems...... but since they did this new layout with all the daft "sorties" I just can't do anything at all! I mean - what the hell's a "sortie" anyway - I thought it was a French word meaning exit, or a military term - certainly nothing to do with a website like this!
Anyway - after 3 hours of swearing and cursing because I can't do anything with it at all, I've decided to go off to bed in a sulk........ All I've ever achieved on it since the update, is to delete all the stuff I had previously written about myself by mistake, with absolutely no way to get it back:((
So my question is, - is there anybody else here who just totally does not understand it? Or am I alone in hating it and wishing it would go back to the super simple, idiot-proof way it was before?

It isn't very clear to me. I struggled with my(stupid) sorties and won but I can't do my colours. I set it up as best I can but nothing happens.
I'm only too familiar with your frustration.
It was fine before but how people put in fancy backgrounds and music I'll never know.
It's way too complicated now and worse, the so called instructions are unclear.

I'm not having any trouble removing sorties or adding to the one html sortie that is already there. The ones I tried to add showed up blank, and the ones I tried to move won't budge.
What are you having trouble with?

LOL - pretty much everything!!! I can add a sortie, but I can't type anything into it at all - it is a complete nightmare! All it tells me to do is edit colours/borders etc, whereas all I want to do is type in text!!

Join the club! I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one. After working on it a couple of times for hours I decided to just leave it alone. Maybe I'll try doing a little here and there when I have time. But when I hit edit it doesn't do anything and I have better things to do with my time then trying to figure all this stuff out.
I'll probably wait awhile to see if My Lot works out the kinks or changes it back the way it was. I may contact them. It's ridulously difficult.

I do not like it either and gave up but after talking to my son last night about giving up means there is no way to succeed, i think I will do like Royal and keep at it. I am sure we will get it figured out. I have it returned to default because nothing seem to work. I will come back and read all the posts to see if I can get some help from them. Right now I don't have time.

LOL, rosie dear, I understand what you're saying. You're not a dumb blonde. We need to figure it out again since mylot decided to give its site a new face lift. I think it took me 3 days before learning all those "sortie." But hey, you'll get over it. Just be patient. Some responders already gave you an idea how to manage your profile. I'm here to cheer you up. Keep going and happy profiling, LOL!

Well, I'm not a blonde and I don't get it either. I'm to new to have learned the old system so I can't compare, but I do know the current system is a bit difficult to navigate. I wanted to dowload some pictures a few days ago and I couldn't figure it out. I was considering posting a discusion on dowloading pictures. I'm glad I came across this discussion of yours. Once I said this, i'm going to go back and read some of your responses and see if someone gave you some tips.
