The name kabbalah to many people was introduced by one of the worlds famous singers, madona. Do you know what is the kabala? Do you think that people have the right to study it? Why are so many people affraid of studying parts of it? Do you agree that people can turn insane just by reading parts of it??

I study the Kabbalah. I think it is a wonderful philosophy of life, much like Budism, Hinduism and the likes. Most mystics of any religion has the same basic principles - and that is another fact that proves that the world moves by the same one force. Many young Israeli jewish go abroad in search of enlightment, while it is here at the reach of a hand. The problem is, orthodox religious people don't encourage (to say the least) the study of the Kabbalah to but a few. That is a shame, because then they say : Young jews don't know what judism is etc. while it is their own laws that made the young ones go and search for the answers somewhere else... I do not believe people might go insane just by reading it - I read large parts of it, and I am OK (sort of...). If I made it, everyone can do it. There are many books that explain the Kabbalah, and there are many fractions in the Kabbalah world itself. If you want, choose one you like, and study it - there are smart things there... (it is a lot like "the secret", or maby "the secret" is a lot like the Kabbalah?...).

i am so happy, to read your response healthkeep. sof sof, (at last), there is a one that understands that there is a jewish philosophy which is very similiar to the budism, hinduism and so on. The judaism believes, that only when you are older you can start reading the kabbalh, because only then you will be able to understand things that you can not understand when you have not reached a few steps in your life. Yes, there are parts of the kabala, that it is believed that we should not touch, like the zohar book. and there is also some mistic sides in the kabala, that is hard to understand, and people will have to learn how to use. i am learning alote, and it is very interesting to me. But there are parts, that at this stage of my life, i do not want to start touching.
