If alone in the house, would you put on a scary movie & watch it, if so ... would you watch it in the dark. It's just a flick of the switch on or off, make your choice???

In my oppinion.......Scary movies are the most effective watched in a dimly lit room, curled up with a comforter, plenty of snacks for munching and a drink at your side. If you really want to go all out.......Watch it during a storm..MAKE SURE YOUR DOORS ARE LOCKED and your cell phone is charged, windows locked too! :)XO God's Best! xo

I believe that since I know It's a scary movie that I try to get my security issues down first.......I have a check list kind of a thing. (1) gas in vehicle (2) Keys available at convience (3) weapon close if needed (4) doors and windows secured (5)more then one exit This comes from previously watched movie horrors....Do you hear me on this one?:)xo

I LOVE horror flicks, especially with lights off and speakers loud at night, snuggled together with my other siblings. I could possibly never watch it alone...maybe if it was the afternoon, with the lights on...maybe. lol

OK, I choose light off. :) Seriously, it is just a movie. And it is one of those things with me that I like to watch a movie in the dark. But I am also one of those people that like to curl up in my bed with blankets and pillows surrounding me watching a movie. So, if it were scary, at least I would have the protection of the pillows and could bury my face. ha ha But I am not a big scary movie fan either. So, either way...lights off. Much better that way!!! :D

I used to love watching scarey movies with the lights off of course. Now that I am a little older I don't enjoy watching too many horror flicks. I guess I've become a big chicken in at my old age. LOL

LOL .... I don't believe you are chicken, with age comes great wisdom. Maybe you're right about not watching them at this stage in the game:-) .... Ty 4/answer!

off goes perfect with me.......coz the real taste of scare comes with the dark. we watch scary movies for the scare but in lighting atmosphere, real scare is not perfectly felt.

Alone or with friends scary movies are always more interesting with the lights . . . off . This way the effect of the movie amplifies and it might get even scarier than it supposed to be . If I watch a horror movie and I am alone I try to think that it's only fiction in order not to get myself too scared :p . . . but still the lights remain off . . .

I dare not turn off the light.... I have to admit that I am not a brave girl, I even dare not go outside when it's dark by myself. If I was alone in the house, I will move to the corner of the room with the light on and turn down the speaker, if not do so, I will always feel that there is a female-ghost which was behind my back with her pale face covered by her long hair..... Ahhhhhhhhhhhh!

if alone in the house, anyone would not prefer to watch a horror movie. but in my case i would like to watch a scary movie with lights off.

I always turn the lights out regardless what the movie is I am watching. I love horror films so I have no problems at all in turning out the lights. It takes a great deal to scare me these days!

Well I really don't care for scary movies because they are usually not scary but if I was watching one I have no problem watching it in the dark it adds to the suspense.

I would like to turn the light off.. But I often watch movies with my classmates or friends , and I dont think I have the nerve to watch them alone.... to get the effect of horror, we usually switch off the lamp, and lock the door and be quiet while watching, that's so exciting , i think......
