Has anyone here purchased Windows Vista?

I used it and it is pretty much the same.Only difference is its look.But it will be good with latest computers.

You are right about that but even if you plan to buy it make sure you have a very powerful system because the MINIMUM requirements itself start at half a gb ram and 1.8 ghz clock speed. so you know what you need to get the aero effects.

my cousin just bought a new laptop for and its operating system is windows vista. i'm excited at first but as i've read a few reviews about vista, i'm a not too sure about it now. but i'm willing to give microsoft the benefit of the doubt. the main problem of vista is that not so many virus softwares are compatible with vista. now this should concern us all. what can protect us from viruses now?

I have got windows vista ultimate.To be honest with you,its not the same as xp,it is more advanced and better.But on the downside there is software incompatibility issues,so better to wait for 1-2 years before you upgrade.
