If you could travel back in time and see an original band or artist, who would you see? A few for me would be The Beatles (just cos!) Queen, INXS (with Michael Hutchence) definitely Jeff Buckley... those are just off the top of my head. I'm sure I could think of many more if I really thought about it. What about you???

For me, there are two guys I would have loved to see perform... Marvin Gaye, for sure. I have always loved his music... my father is still a big Marvin Gaye fan and he raised me to appreciate the music he made. Then there's Jimi Hendrix. I think it would have been interesting to have seen him perform. He is such a big name nowadays, I remember the first time I heard "Purple Haze" and "Fire," I was instantly hooked.

I would like to go back to the swing era and watch the bands of that era and watch the people dance to that music. Also elvis moving his hips in the 50's and all the girls going wild for him.

The swing time era would be totally cool to see. I'd like to do that as well! Can live without Elvis though... never really been a big fan.

Hi Script! If I have a chance going back in time I would like to see my grandfather, my mother said that my grandfather was good in drawing, like an artist or he really is an artist not just like an artist. My mother often said that my grandfather is always facing at the mirror drawing himself, I saw my grandfathers drawings and his picture then I match his drawings to his pictures then I saw that my mother was telling the truth. I was really amazed of my grandfathers talent but I didn't have the chance to see him and his drawings. I hope someday that I could travel back in time and I would like to see him in person. His my idol in drawing.

Nice take on the post... I didn't think of artists in the sense of painting, drawing, sculpture ect... That's a really cool way of looking at it. I'd love to be able to go back in time and see all the great masters of art at work. That would be awesome. Also, while we're on this train of thought, I'd love to be able to go back and talk to some writers that I have always loved and admired. I mean, imagine hanging out with the Bronte sisters for a few weeks! Or going for a drink with Hemmingway. Or watching one of Shakespears plays with William. How cool would that be??!!
