How do you customize your profile page with backgrounds?

I know how to change the color, but I have noticed some people with actual pictures on their backgrounds. How is this done? Also when I go into "edit" mode, I cannot edit the sortie containers. When I click on the "edit" button that is located within each sortie box, it doesn't do anything. I've tried from home and work, so I know it's not the computer. I have tried to customize my page, when I am waiting for new discussions to pop up, so I haven't spent a whole lot of time trying to figure it out, so any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

hello.misheleen, I would also liek to know somethign about customizing my profile because I would like to post my blog web link there, I tried to do it at the morning but I was unable to do it, therefore,I think I would also like someone to help me becasue I am not good in those technical stuff, hope anyone can help me and misheleen .thank you.
