Filipinos all over the world are again rejoicing for another superb win of the national pride and fist named MANNNNNYYYYYYY PACCCQQQQQQUIAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! We are all rejoicing for this another successful bout. We are definitely world-class in the world of boxing. My question is: DO YOU THINK THIS WILL TRANSLATE HIM INTO A CONGRESSMAN and successfully wrest the postion from a young and beautiful and intelligent Darlene? On my part, its really so hard to decide on this matter. Good thing, I am not a registered voter of the place Manny is running hehehehehhehe. Do you think he will knock-out Darlene in politics?

i thougt his last fight was not as good as his other fights. disappointing would be the right term. i think freddie roach is the ONLY guy that can make manny come out fighting 100% everytime he has a fight. i'd give credit to the other coach who took over roach's coaching but it was just horrible. that being said, manny's chances of winning is anything but a KO. people around him should advise him well and not push him to do something for the sake of other peoples interests. he will never win. if he does, God help all of Gen. Sans residents.

I think manny is not capable of doing the job of a congressman.Being very popular is not enough reason for a candidate to won over the other. As far as i know Darlene is the youngest lawmaker in the congress and she has proven her intelligence everytime she speaks in different issue.

Clearly, he has too many fans. Maybe he will win, maybe he won't. i don't really care. I suggest him to stay as a boxer. And even if i don't care, i don't want him to win.

Manny's political win is virtually guaranteed now that he won his bout with Solls. I just hope that I'm proven wrong come May elections.

There is no doubt that Manny Pacquiao is one of the best boxers today. I root for him in his every fight in the ring. But I do not want him to win in this coming elections. I believe that politics is not for him. Well if he will just run for councilor, that is ok. But what does he know about the responsibilities of a congressman? How will he make laws? He cannot have everything and he cannot be good at everything. And I believe that most of his "kababayans" know that too. So I do not think he will win in the elections. Voters are smarter nowadays because we have already seen too many popular celebrities elected to government offices who did not do anything good for our country.

With his latest win in his career it is a big point for his popularity and recall. As to his political dream we will see if the people in his district will used this victory of his to his advantage or will the charms of theincumbent darlene prevail in the election. That is to be seen in Pacquiao's next level of dreams. I guess money really makes so much influence in our lives.

i'm happy that manny won on the ring. as for his political ambition, i hope he fails. he would only be use by other politicians that con him into running as congressman. we have enough unqualified lawmakers as it is. the only way for me to change me mind if i will saw him in a debate against darlene and him prevailing. if not sad to say his better off on the boxing ring instead of the political arena. he might win, but he will be among the worst congressman this country will ever see that enter politics.

I'm not sure what Manny is thinking but for me, I guess he rather stay being a boxer rather than joining politics. I don't want him to win.

pacquiao is the most popular man right now in the philippines. and no doubt that if he'll pursue a career in politics, he'll definitely end up winning. by basing on the philippines politics, who's more popular and famous would usually hold a seat in the government. we've seen actors/actress, sports stars, other celebrities and elitists who even know nothing about the government run for candidacy and win. we even have a president who cant even speak english well and still believes he's still the president. thats what we call WOW PHILIPPINES!!

I agree to ateriskec that Filipinos are smarter now. Filipinos vote for the candidate who they think fits for that position and not because of popularity. I think it would be hard for Pacquaio to win as a congressman. He better focus on his career on boxing where he has greater chance to be more successful.

if only i could talk to manny i will tell him to just concentrate on boxing and not enter the dirty politics of the philippines... it will just ruin his image and not all good boxers would be a good leader... but i like manny coz he makes us filipinos proud! ;)

I think Filipinos are smarter these days. It doesn't mean that just because he won, he'll also win in the congressional elections. Politics is a whole new different ball game.

All I could ever say is: "Goodluck to him". I do not think he will win this kind of battle. This is way too far from boxing, this is POLITICS.
