I read an article that about euthanasia meaning well death refers to an act or method of causing death painlessly, so as to end suffering, espicially if it is brought about by terminal illness like cancer. Those in favor of euthanasia said that the person has right to live, he too has the right to die. In view of excruciating pain & suffering, the patients finds his life miserable & burden to him as well as to those around him. Thus, the proponents of euthanasia believe that the patient must be given his last chance to be happy, and make his death painless & dignified. Why should the patient suffer needlessly? to prolong his agony is an act of cruelty on the part of those who have the means to stop it. Thus it is concluded that euthanasia is an act of mercy and kindness, not only for the patient but also for his living loved ones who suffer with him. On the other hand, Christians argue against euthanasia for the following reason. The person's life belong to God. Thus, only God has the right & power to terminte it. The Sixth commandment says "you shall not kill." To kill someone even mercifully is murder in the sight of God. For you, Is this moral? For me, euthanasia is moral if the family can't support the financial and medical needs of the patient and if a machine is the only thing that's keeping the patient breathing but still unconscious.
