When he defeated Jorge Solis by Knock out! It was the first time that Solis lost and it Was our very own Pacman break the zero-loss of Solis. What did you feel on the first three rounds of Pacquiao and Solis Fight? Were you nervous like me? I was!!! Because I saw Solis performed so good in the first few rounds. He was really tough and very good in evading all Pacquiao's punches. But I was overwhelmed with joy when I saw him down on the floor on the 8th round. How about you, share your feelings then while you were watching Pacman's fight with Solis?

Yes, I was nervous. I felt tense at the possibility that this boxer, excellent as he may be in the ring, has a strong chance of winning (and in effect, wasting) a seat in our Congress. And yeah, he floored Solis in that fight. I just hope his election-day opponent, whoever that may be, will take him to the floor the same way. Sorry, I know this is not exactly what you wanted to hear, but the thing is that during that fight, I couldn't think of anything more than Pacquiao, his devotion to boxing, and how that devotion will be divided if ever he penetrates Philippine politics.

I loved vebelas post, glad to know this information. For Manny to win over Solis is just an icing to an already almost legendary status he is enjoying now. Well ist obviously the same feelings for most pinoys to doubt if he will make the win, but surely there is no doubt for all that it will be hard fight whatever the case maybe. The only give away of Solis was when the latter is not matching the quickness of Manny & the aggressiveness of a fighter to win is not there & surely this is what Manny had seen & felt & just went for the kill as its softens the prey a bit.

I was out in our house when the fight was finish too bad! But I was able to know the results before it was even shown in the TV since the radio in the taxi I was riding was already rejoicing about Pacquiao's victory. I was not at all nervous with this fight since I am already used to the victory he has made. It looks that if Pacquiao would concentrate in his boxing career he could achieve more.

it wasnt really an impressive win for pacquiao. though solis was undefeated prior to the fight, the question still remains hanging as to what kind of opponents have he beaten. he was not known for beating big names such as erik morales, marco antonio barrera or other boxers at that level. second is that pacquiao was far from his peak, maybe because it was due to the tremendous height advantage, but its still obvious that pacquiao's intensity is not as high as what he had during his last two fights prior to solis. as a boxing fan, pacquiao's performance is really a concerning one. if he continues to do that level of fight in his succeeding fights, it wont take long before someone could put him down.

Solis needs to learn how to use his jabs. I think his corner was angry at him because of that (judging from facial reactions). Whereas, the Pacman was cashing in with his double jabs/straight combo.

It was actually a good fight since MAnny had a hard time having his power punches hit Solis. The cut inflicted on Manny during the 6th round motivated Manny to fight back and that's what made him a real fighter.

We were watching the fight live here in the U.S. also. Pacquiao is very, very popular with the Filipino American community. I was a little bit nervous about the first 3 rounds of the fight, but whenever they went to the "Punches Landed" count, Pacquiao always had more than double of Solis. Even though it looked like Solis was evading most of Pacqiao's punches, Solis wasn't throwing nearly as many punches, either. I think what did Solis in was when he head-butted Pacquiao in the 5th or 6th round and made Pacqiao bleed. After that, Pacqiao just looked angry and came out punching like the champion that he is. Right now, he is ranked as the #2 pound-for-pound best boxer in the world, behind Merriweather (who is in a higher weight-class). If Merriweather loses in his May 5 fight, then Pacqiao will be #1 in the world!

I watched Pacquiao's fight with Solis. At first, i thought he woul not be able to knock out Solis. But after the 6th round, he proved that he is stronger than Solis. I'm glad that Manny made the Filipinos proud again!!1
