NAMES OF QURAN
The word Quran literally means "the recitation".
Allah s.w called Quran by different names.It has been called:
1. AL-FURQAN(The criterian),it comes from the letters "faraqa" which means "to differentiate,to distinguish",quran teaches us to differentiate between truth and falsehood,darkness and light,truth.

A great post Sweetpunch, I hope you continue with this undertaking.
So, the Quran is the criteria by which we are to differentiate between truth and falsehood but criteria need a method, which, as I understand it is also given in the Quran?

yes it does inorder that they can understand the greatness of their creator and the reason behind the creation of the universe.like he asks them to look around and think which power is behind tyhe changing of days and nights,the rainfall,the honey bee etc.

Ofcourse there is method,simple follow its teachings.
"And for everyone there is a direction towards which he turns so hasten towards good..."(Al-Quran 2:148)

Thats just the one name there are about 55 names of quran in quran itself i'll keep on posting them in the same discussion so keep looking.
