I just received a phone call from my brother that they had to put Zack the cat down, The last time I looked after him he was a bit off himself. and I mentioned it to my brother, anyhow it appears that Zack had cancer, My brother brought some medication in from California that works very well on lab rats but for Zack it was to late I guess the tumor broke and the poor little guy was in agony, Cats apparently do well with chemo, but he was too far gone, and so my brother chose to have him euthanized rather than prolong his life for another 6 month,of pain. So Zack little buddy I will miss you very much.

I am so sorry to hear about Zack, everytime one of my animals are put down it just kills me. It takes so much out of me and I feel the loss for a long time after ward. I still haven't gotten over my cat disappearing 13 months ago.

Oh so sorry to hear this hon I will say a little prayer tonight for Zack's journey to heaven. I know how sad it is to lose a little buddy. I lost my cat after 19 years to cancer and the most kind thing we can do is never let them suffer. My eyes filled up with tears because all pets lovers know the pain of saying goodbye to a beloved pet.just know I'm thinking of you and Zack

Oh Robin, I am so sorry to hear your news about your brother's cat Zack. It's very upsetting when we lose a much loved pet, it has happened to me a few times over the years. The worst time was when I had to have two of my dogs put down at the same time - one had a heart attack and wasn't going to recover, the other one had cancer which was getting steadily worse, so I decided to have them put down together; they were brother and sister aged 12 years old. It took me months to get over that. Euthanasia is the best thing we can do for them if they are in so much pain, your brother did the right thing.

Hats off to your brother for making the right call for poor Zack. It's the hardest and most thankless job of having to put a family pet down, been there and done that.
They are family members plain and simple. Take care.

Please accept my sympathy. A lot of people don't understand how painful losing a pet can be.
