Favorite Child

I feel that sometimes parents although not intentional, do favor one child over another. What reason this is i have no clue. =OP

It is sad to say but I think parents may indeed favour... the one that reminds them most of themselves... one that needs them the most.

I have four wonderful children and I love them all the same. I do catch myself unintentionally feeling more attached to the youngest, hes two now and with a very difficult, scary pregnancy I seem to feel more attached. I dont show this in front of the children but I find myself when tucking them in at nights again after they are sleeping I am spending a little more time rubbing the babys back. Maybe its because he is the last baby and I am trying to hold on.

Before I had my second one I thought I'm able to be fair. But, I think human nature is such that we tend to compare..... so I think that parents do have a favourite child.

i don't think so my parents always told us that there is no one best for them, because one can have what other have. they keep on telling us not to race with our siblings because we are the one who will helping each other if they gone.

I do believe that some parents do favor and are not afraid to let it be known that they favor one child over the other. But I've never felt slighted by my mom or dad. I am hoping that my children don't feel as though I care for one more than another...SS

i think parents do have a favourite child...they might be loving one child more than the other...but if u look overalll,i think they love all equally

Sometimes! They do have. But I think iys a case yo case basis. Mostly, the eldest member of the family do not need to mich attention because they commonly grow up responsible.Maybe other siblings just need attention coz they are not yet capable enough in responding to their responsibility.

Could be that some parents are like that!!!!! Well me as a Parent of 2 Girls!!! i i love them Equaly!!!! they have they same love!!!!!!!! I seee no difference! my first or my last! it will always be the same!!!!!

i dont think parents choose one child over the other conciously. even though my sisters say that im the favorite, i dont see that.lol

Parents won't have such type of feelings.They treat everyone in the same way,The parents to how many they give birth all those are favorite children only.

There shouldnt be. I have moments where I like my son better and some times I like my daughter better. This entirely depend on the occasion. But generally, I love them both the same way.

well its not that parents have any favorite child but yeah it may b the case that they have some more feelings for a particular child for certain things...and that may b either for there first child or the last child ....

I think when they have alot of children they do.

No..... There's nothing like a fav child or fav parent..... one can neva distinguish between his offsprings or parents

Ya i think all parents love them all childs butalways there is a child who is the fav for the parents.

yea i think they have a favourite child and depending on who you ask in the cases one will say they are not the favourite and the other one is and the other will say there not the favourite so i guess you will never know in some cases unless the parents tell you. in my case its the grandmother who has favourites and she favours the grandsons
