Please read: myLot is being SCAMMED for HUNDREDS of dollars by these users . . .

Please go to the following discussion and see the notes that I've added: http://www.mylot.com/w/discussions/992834.as It would appear that one user has multiple accounts set up. They go to various message boards and steal entire threads, posting the question, logging out, back in, then replying to it. They've no doubt set up referrals, too, so they're bleeding myLot for every penny that they can. If you follow each user you will see that each one replies to the other's posts, and if you search for a keyphrase in, let's say, dogpile.com, you will see that nearly all of their content is STOLEN from others. This needs to have an end put to it immediately. If people are allowed to scam the system in such a way myLot will be closing its doors and we'll be out in the cold. I've seen this happen other sites, like themestream.com, years ago.

I do not know what you are saying about me? I have not scammed this site at all. I am a legitimate user and you need to get your facts right. What is it that you do not like about me? Is it because I am a Christian? That I have the Lord on my side? Why the hell would you slander my name? You need to get a LIFE!!!

Oh and p.s mylot does not have a policy on multiple accounts the referral you see on my account is my husbands and if you want to report me to mylot then go ahead. If you go to my husbands account you will find that he has not got refferals. Everyone knows my husband is on here it is common knowledge if you had looked into your facts you would realise this. I even asked if it was allowed before I invited my husband to join. What is it? Are you jealous of me or something?

I tried to look at the discussion, but it did not open. I´m just curious as to what your actual proof is. It seems like an awful lot of work for someone to go through just to earn a few cents more! I´m sure some people do copy once they get over 500, but it can´t be that many and I suspect MyLot is checking them out.

Here's what I reposted with the working links: I recently posted similarly but my link was missing the last few letters and was redirecting folks to their own homepage, leading them to believe that it was them that I was calling out. Here's what I was trying to say: There are five myLot users who have been going to other discussion boards and stealing the entire thread then coming back here and reposting it. I believe it's one person running multiple accounts. For example: Look at this myLot discussion that was started by aries_0325: http://www.mylot.com/w/discussions/992834.aspx Notice his question. If you cut and paste that string of text into a search engine such as dogpile.com as an exact phrase, you will find the same question asked here: http://www.ephilosopher.c... Then, as you go down the thread on that other site, you will see that the responses that that person's question have been cut and paste over here, answering aries_0325's stolen question. rotogravure's response, for example, is cut and paste verbatim from the other page. This person has wracked up thousands of myLot credits by stealing other people's thoughts and posting them here as their own. I've reported this to myLot through the exclamation mark icon on every post that I find and encourage you folks to do the same thing. They've cut and pasted thousands of discussions, GuateMom, not just a few. Every single one that I've checked in dogpile.com (using exact phrase search) turns up on other sites.

I went to the discussion that you have the link up for and I don't see anything that would say someone was scamming mylot not sure where your getting your information from.

If you think you have sufficient proof of this, you need to get it all together and give it directly to Mylot through the Contact link. It can take a long time for them to get through all the reports with the exclamation point. I was on Themestream, too, and this kind of thing was like an epidemic there.

It's really hard to stop this thing from happen. There are always people that try to abuse the system for their own benefit. One way to reduce this is by introduce the verification system. Example like gmail, you'll need to provide your hp number for verification purpose. This will also help in reducing spammer.

When I pulled this link up, it came up to my own profile. I'm not sure how that happened, but you may have a broken link or something.
